Holiday camps and programmes

Our holiday camps run during school holidays (excluding bank holidays). Whether you’re an aspiring footballer or it’s the first time you’ve kicked a ball, Birmingham City Trust’s camps have been designed to provide a fun holiday activity for children and young people.

We offer camps which are all about football and include small-sided games and tournaments, penalty shoot-outs, tactical skill development and challenges but also run multi-sports camps which offer a place for children and young people to socialise, take part in both indoor and outdoor activities and games and generally just have fun!

The Trust are also delighted to have successfully participated in the HAF programme since 2020, providing activities and meals to children on free school meals. Since 2020 we have engaged with 980 children and young people from school in our local community. On average, we are able to offer 110 places per day during a school holiday.

In partnership with Birmingham Council and Solihull Council and Bring it on Brum, we will be able to continue to provide and expand this programme into 2023.

These funded programmes allow us to work directly with local schools and provide children with the opportunity to:

  • Eat healthy meals during school holidays
  • Take part in sports and activities during school holidays
  • Avoid social isolation
  • Improve their knowledge and understanding of healthy eating and the benefits of regular activity
  • A safe space to have fun and make new friends

The programmes extend to the wider family group by providing them with access to information and support about healthy and economical eating and information and support sites around health, education, and employment. Places on these camps are only offered via our partner schools.
