Our new Health and Wellbeing programmes will see the return of our successful FIT Fans & Bootcamps but also see the launch of a new Over 35s BCFC 6-A-Side league and walking football sessions for over 50s.

All of our health and wellbeing sessions are designed to encourage physical activity as a way to better health, improved mental wellbeing and to help people meet new friends.

Each session offers a minimum of 60 minutes of physical activity by qualified coaches at a variety of venues.

The main aims of Birmingham City FC Community Trust’s Fit Fans programme is to help those who feel they need to make changes in their life, changes which will have an impact on them, their self-confidence and their families by using the power of exercise. We will increase their knowledge of diet, nutrition and physical activity to help encourage participants to improve their lifestyle choices. The programme has been extremely successful thus far and we have been fortunate enough to witness participants make substantial changes and be able to maintain them. Participants who started the programme over 18 months ago are still being supported on their individual weight-loss journeys.

With support from our BCFC Community Trust Staff and other group members you’ll get help to:

  • Improve your eating habits.
  • Cut down on alcohol intake.
  • Increase your activity levels – one step at a time!
  • Reduce your weight and your waistline.
  • Support each other and stay on track.
  • Regain your confidence.
  • Become proud of your looks.

An exciting new programme, funded by club sponsor Impact, for our over 50s to take part in. Held every Tuesday at Starbank School (Hobmoor Rd) these sessions are a great way to stay active and meet new people. Walking football is a slower paced version of the game you already love.

Perfect for anyone aged 50 and over, all abilities and all fitness levels, the game has reduced physical contact but still retains a competitive edge and still allows you to use all your other footballing skills.

Our weekly sessions will be delivered by qualified FA coaches and include a warm up, small sides games and the oppourtunity to take part in local competitions throughout the year.

Tuesday evenings – 8:00 – 9:00pm – Starbank School – Hobmoor Rd.

Participants to attend our health and wellbeing programmes are required to wear appropriate clothing and footwear and bring a drink.

These session are for those who want to continue to play football but at a slightly slower pace than 11-a-side. These sessions, funded by club sponsor Impact, still create a competitive game and the oppourtunity to compete against other teams in a 6-a-side league.

Tuesday evenings – 7:00 – 8:00pm – Starbank School – Hobmoor Rd.

Participants to attend our health and wellbeing programmes are required to wear appropriate clothing and footwear and bring a drink.
